We all know that feeling: the final school day before winter break. Everyone has ants in their pants, and the minutes move like hours; most teachers put on movies instead of trying to instill knowledge in classrooms stuffed with sugar-fueled teens focused on everything but learning.
The day before winter break isn’t much different at Rancho Cielo than it is at every other school. However, our nearly 200 students leave campus with special gifts: a high-quality Rancho Cielo vest and beanie.
Rancho Cielo CEO Chris Devers explained that the vest “will keep your core warm, and your arms will be free to move easily while you work. The beanies will prevent heat from escaping from your head.”
In addition to the practical reasons behind the gifts, they’re super stylish! Also, students’ bellies were stuffed with breakfast burritos and a holiday potluck lunch that included everything from homemade gnocchi and carnitas tacos to pizza, fried chicken and a smorgasbord of treats!
Remember, you can support a Rancho Cielo student through Monterey County Gives! All it takes is $5 to make a difference!
