On November 7, 2023, the Monterey County Board of Supervisors adopted a resolution recognizing the Construction and Sustainable Design Academy of Rancho Cielo’s distinction as Overall Competition Champion at the Orange County Sustainability Decathlon in October 2023. Our exceptional students received a deserved standing ovation from attendees.
In addition to our students, a couple of our wonderful sponsors, Pete Scudder and Bill Hayward, attended along with Rancho Cielo CEO Chris Devers, Career Technical Education Director Joe DeRuosi, CTE Instructor for Construction & Sustainable Design Ed Bennett and CTE Program Coordinator Christopher Almarez.
